CD1a
Human CD1a is a cell-surface glycoprotein belonging to the CD1 family of antigen-presenting molecules. It is structurally related to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules and is specialized in the presentation of lipid and glycolipid antigens to specific T-cell populations. CD1a is expressed primarily on immature dendritic cells, Langerhans cells, and certain thymic cortical cells.

CD1a plays an important role in lipid antigen presentation and immune surveillance. By presenting lipid-based antigens to T cells, CD1a contributes to the recognition of microbial and self-derived lipid molecules and participates in the regulation of immune responses.

Anti-human CD1a antibodies specifically recognize the CD1a antigen and are valuable tools for the identification and characterization of CD1a-expressing cells. Depending on the antibody clone and validation, these antibodies may be used in flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, cell sorting, and other immunological applications. Anti-CD1a antibodies are widely used in research involving dendritic-cell biology, Langerhans cells, antigen presentation, immunology, and hematopoietic cell differentiation.
